You’ve booked your English VKU course and are ready to go. But what do you actually need to bring with you? It’s simple, but making sure you have the right documents is crucial.

The Absolute Must-Haves

There are two items that are non-negotiable. Without them, you cannot be issued your official certificate.

1. Your Swiss Learner’s Permit (Lernfahrausweis) This is the most important document. The VKU is legally tied to your learner’s permit number, and the instructor must verify it in person.

2. A Valid Photo ID This can be your Swiss residence permit (Ausländerausweis), your passport, or a national ID card. The name must match the name on your learner’s permit.

Recommended Items to Bring

While not mandatory, these items will make your course experience more comfortable:

• A Pen and Notepad: For taking notes on key concepts or asking questions.
• A Drink and a Snack: Although we are located near many shops, having something with you can be convenient during the short breaks.
